Black Ops 7: New Omnimovement, Game Modes, and More

The hype is real! Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is charging onto the scene with an exciting multiplayer update, bringing a fresh take on gameplay and graphics. Scheduled for release on November 14, just a little over a month away, this new installment from Treyarch aims to reinvigorate loyal fans and attract new players.

First revealed at the Xbox Game Showcase back in June, Black Ops 7 has intrigued players with its futuristic setting—a departure from the more grounded scenarios we’ve seen recently. While the franchise had previously steered clear of sci-fi themes since Black Ops 4, this new direction promises to bring that high-tech vibe back with a vengeance.

Treyarch Unleashes the Multiplayer Madness

During the recent Call of Duty Next event, Treyarch revealed tons of new multiplayer features and modes. Pick up where Black Ops 6 left off, the game will introduce an enhanced Omnimovement system—think wall jumps and movement perks! This fresh mechanic should make battles even more dynamic.

Among the new modes, we have the captivating 6v6 Overload mode, which flips the script on traditional capture the flag gameplay. This time, teams will need to carry a device behind enemy lines to snag points. If you’re into massive brawls, the new Skirmish mode features 20v20 matches that incorporate wingsuits, vehicles, and grappling hooks—all on two expansive maps set to be available right at launch!

Treyarch confirmed that Black Ops 7 will launch with a whopping 18 maps, including those suited for smaller game modes. Players can look forward to classic maps making a comeback from Black Ops 2, adding a nostalgic touch to the gameplay. You’ll also get to choose from 30 futuristic weapons, with many of them brand new to the franchise!

Before the game officially drops, there will be an open beta where players can experience some of the multiplayer action along with Zombies mode. This beta runs from October 5 to October 8, with early access kicking off on October 2 for those who preordered or are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass.
