Hey, gamers! Exciting times are here with the launch of *Borderlands 4*! Where to Find the Black Market This Week

For the week of October 2 to October 9, Maurice’s Black Market machine is located in a large wooden building just west of Rattlehead Crest, in the Fadefields region. Rattlehead Crest is a small town placed between The Pitted Stain drill site and The Eminent Husk crawler. So, head over there, drop down to the coast, and look for the biggest house—his machine is on the second floor!

The Black Market machine resets every Friday at midnight EDT, so mark your calendars!

The cool twist this time is that every player’s Black Market inventory is unique! That means you might find god rolls that your friends won’t have. So, make sure to compare notes and see if Maurice has what you need!

Unlocking the Black Market Vending Machine

To access the Black Market, you need to complete the main campaign and the quest called Maurice’s Bounty in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Once that’s done, the machine will make regular appearances across the map. It’ll be initially hard to spot but will show up as a marker on your map once you get close enough.

Top Tricks and Tips

  1. Cool Down Reset: If you don’t see anything you like, you can reset the inventory by backing out of the store. Just know it comes with a 30-minute cooldown, so use it wisely!

  2. Mobility is Key: With the open world of Kairos, make sure you’re comfortable with the new map layout. Get to know key locations to speed up your treasure hunts.

  3. Community Connections: Share and compare what Maurice is selling with your friends. You might be able to hook them up with items they need while they do the same for you. Teamwork makes the dream work!

  4. Daily Looting: Besides just focusing on Maurice, don’t forget about chest drops and mini-bosses around the map. They can yield some great loots too!

  5. Map Markers: If you’re lost, be sure to use your mini-map and look out for indicators that lead you to Maurice’s location.

  6. Watch for Events: Keep an eye on seasonal events or community challenges that might offer exclusive loot or additional chances to interact with Maurice.

So gear up, get your squad together, and may fortune smile upon you as you loot and shoot your way through *Borderlands 4*! Enjoy the hunt!

Everyone’s favourite dinosaur (Saurian, actually) returns in Borderlands 4, once again running an under-the-table vendor machine that offers you legendary gear. While it works a little differently this time around, you’ll still need to find Maurice’s Black Market location each week. If you’re a Destiny 2 convert, then Maurice’s vending machine is effectively Xur. Each week, the Black Market machine will spawn in a new location somewhere on Kairos, giving you access to top-tier loot in return for cash. With Borderlands 4 moving to a full open-world with Kairos, though, you’ll have even more ground to cover to track his machine down.

For the week of October 2 to October 9, Maurice’s Black Market vending machine is located in a large wooden building on the coast just west of Rattlehead Crest, in western Idolator’s Noose, Fadefields region. Rattlehead Crest is a small town between The Pitted Stain drill site and The Eminent Husk crawler, so head here, then jump down to the coast and head to the largest house. You’ll find the machine on the second floor. The Black Market machine resets every Friday at 12:00 am EDT / 5 am BST.

The biggest change to the weekly Black Market in Borderlands 4 is that the inventory on offer is unique to each player—it’s no longer a fixed stock for every player. I guess it’s more incentive to actually track him down to see if you have any god rolls, though it’s not quite as fun as having everyone rush to his vending machine when his stock is revealed. You can actually reset what your vending machine is selling just by backing out of the store, though it’ll then go on a 30-minute cooldown, which you can track via the weekly activity icon on the map. This is an important detail to note if you’re against the clock for the weekly reset.

Since each player has a different offering, it’s worth checking with your friends to see what their version of Maurice’s Black Market machine is selling, as it might just be the perfect item for you.

Before you can start purchasing legendary gear from Maurice’s Black Market machine, you have to beat the main campaign and the introductory Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode quest, Maurice’s Bounty. Once you’ve ticked off that quest, the Black Market vending machine becomes a weekly affair across the open world. The machine will appear almost invisible until you get close to it, though it’ll also be marked on your map once you get near enough.
