The Beast New Hotfix Released

Dying Light: The Beast just dropped Hotfix 1.2.3, making your zombie-slaying experience smoother and more fun! Released on September 18, the game has already been patched to fix annoying bugs, including the zombie grab issue that had players feeling frustrated.

This update addresses community feedback about the Biters’ grabbing ability, making it “less frustrating” and “more fair.” The game’s developers, Techland, have been actively rolling out updates to enhance your gameplay. Players can now enjoy more balanced interactions with zombies, especially when exploring the intense environments filled with danger.

On September 26, Techland confirmed the new hotfix was on the way, and it officially launched on September 30. Alongside the grabbing adjustments, there are also improvements to the routes that Screamers patrol in Dark Zones, ensuring smoother navigation. Players were also encountering a critical issue if they received a modded weapon from a user who had already completed the tutorial, which could block progression. This has now been fixed!

A few more bugs have been squashed as well, especially those pesky issues with doors and windows in certain locations that were making it hard to complete quests. The warm atmosphere of the Mental Asylum has seen improvements, including fixing the annoying looping music bug and ensuring players don’t get stuck in a loop after reloading their save files. Plus, if you were experiencing stuttering during gameplay, especially those using Frame Generation or HDR on their PS5, those issues have also been taken care of!
