To kick things off, interact with the well by pressing E to snag the Ghostspeak Amulet—your key to communicating with the undead. But here’s the kicker: the quest description gives you barely any info, simply stating you need to “search for a purpose for the Amulet of Ghostspeak.” In simpler terms, you’re going to need to hunt some ghosts—only at night!
Finding the Ghosts
You’ll need to track down four ghosts in total. So, hang tight in your house until dark, and let’s get started!
1. Warren
You’ll first find Warren right near where you picked up the amulet, hiding in an abandoned house to the left of the well. Interact with him, and he’ll give you a riddle to help find the next ghost:
- Riddle: “Blades that once whirled like a tornado, now lay still among crumbled stone. Find the lost who dwells there, set her free.”
2. Lazina
This riddle points to the windmill in Temple Woods—a throwback to when you had to fight those giant rats in the tutorial. Talk to Lazina when you find her, and she’ll ask for your help along with another riddle:
- Riddle: “My brother lies buried in darkness, beneath a southern point rising high in the sky. Find his name, set him free.”
3. Finn
Next, head southeast of the windmill to track down Finn in a cave. Look for a glowing torch to guide you to the right spot. Engage with him, and he’ll share his riddle:
- Riddle: “Choking on swamp gas. Ruined timber, moldy and splintered. Sinking moment by moment into bitter, bleak mud. Find the name of the buried, set them free.”
4. Kay
Finally, find Kay in the Whispering Swamp. Close to the cave entrance, you’ll spot a ruined building and a glowing torch leading the way. Once you chat with her, it’s time to lay all the spirits to rest.
Laying the Spirits to Rest
To wrap up your quest, visit the temple in Temple Woods. On the right side of the building, you’ll discover a vase with flowers—this is your remembrance shrine. Interact with it to select each spirit from the list and complete the quest.
