In “Days Gone,” NERO Injectors are key items used to enhance Deacon’s abilities. Finding all locations can significantly improve gameplay. These injectors are scattered throughout the map. Each one provides valuable health or stamina upgrades. Discovering them all is essential for survival in the game.
In Days Gone, leveling up your health, stamina, and focus can make survival a lot easier. Luckily, you can find NERO Injectors scattered across the game world that increase these stats. Each injector boosts one of your metrics by 25, and collecting all of them raises your health, stamina, and focus up to a maximum of 350!
Trust me; taking down hordes or facing big bosses is way more fun when you’re properly buffed. Here’s where to snag all the NERO Injectors in the game!
All NERO Injector Locations
There are 30 NERO Injectors spread across six regions in Days Gone. Below is a breakdown of where to find them.
Cascade Region
You start the game here and can find seven NERO Injectors:

Little Bear Lake NERO Checkpoint: In the southwestern Cascade, near the tunnel connecting Cascade and Belknap. You visit this early on for bandages.

Old Pioneer Cemetery NERO Checkpoint: Located at the northeasternmost part of Cascade. Go past the statue where Alvarez died during the Chasing Leon questline.

Northeastern Cave: Found during the Spy on the NERO Researcher mission. Head into a cave accessible from the trail north of the main road.

Horse Lake NERO Checkpoint: Head north from Deacon and Boozer’s O’Leary Mountain Safehouse. Look for derelict train cars.

White King Mine: Near the back of the mine northwest from the Horse Lake Checkpoint. Watch out for the horde inside!

Crashed Helicopter: Southeast of Copeland’s camp. Use a ledge near the chopper to jump across the gap—having the Nitrous bike upgrade helps a lot.

Near Horse Creek Ambush Camp: Found on a bridge decorated with hanging corpses. Yikes!
Belknap Region
Only four NERO Injectors here, but watch out for tricky bike jumps:

Marion Forks NERO Checkpoint: Located in the northeastern corner, you’ll visit this area during the Price On Your Head questline.

Iron Butte Pass NERO Checkpoint: Guarded by Rippers in southern Belknap. Travel from Hot Springs camp.

Hot Springs Encampment: You’ll need to jump to reach it. The ramp is north; make sure you have the Nitrous upgrade!

Westernmost Belknap Cave: Near a pond, but beware of the Patjens Lake Horde lurking about.
Lost Lake Region
This area offers four NERO Injectors without requiring complicated jumps:

Santiam Tunnel NERO Checkpoint: South of Iron Mike’s encampment. Fight the Berley Lake Horde here.

Southeastern Lost Lake: Use a natural ramp to jump the gap near a helicopter.

Old Sawmill NERO Checkpoint: In the southern part of the old sawmill. Destroy all loudspeakers to prevent awakening a 500-strong Freaker horde.

Northwesternmost Lost Lake: Near a Freaker cave that’s home to the River Flow Farms Horde.
Iron Butte Region
Found here are two NERO Injectors:

Rogue Tunnel NERO Checkpoint: You’ll go through this area during a Ripper mission with Schizzo.

Southwestern Iron Butte: You’ll need to jump a gap to reach this one next to a lake.
Crater Lake Region
There are seven NERO Injectors here—lots to explore!

Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway NERO Checkpoint: Northeast of Wizard Lake. Follow the main road.

Cave South of the Shacks: Located down south from the Diamond Lake camp.

Spruce Lake NERO Checkpoint: Near the southern edge, near an Ambush Camp.

House on the Coast: Follow the road to find this injector south of the Wizard Island encampment.

Northwesternmost Cave: Accessible from Diamond Lake encampment—just watch for other dangers!

Northwestern Crater Lake: At the edge of the map on a hill you can only reach from the north.

Southeastern Crater Lake: Take the ramp from a small island southeast of the Wizard encampment; the Nitrous upgrade is essential here!
Highway 97 Region
The last area to explore! Here you’ll find six NERO Injectors:

Chemult Community College NERO Checkpoint: Grab this injector during the story mission.

North-Central Highway 97: Located in a cave north of the river through the northeast town.

Pillette Bridge NERO Checkpoint: Follow the main road southwest from the Wizard Island camp.

Southern Highway 97: Hidden beneath a destroyed bridge southeast of the main encampment.
-
Central Highway 97 Cave: Follow the dirt path until you reach the NERO Research Site.

Southeastern Highway 97: This final injector requires two tricky bike jumps—make sure your Nitrous III upgrade is maxed out for the best results!
Tips and Tricks:
- Invest in bike upgrades, especially Nitrous, to make those tough jumps easier.
- Listen for audio cues when near NERO Injectors; they can be hard to spot.
- Clear out areas of enemies before hunting for injectors; less stress, more focus.
